Look at that beautiful brisket

The pigs in a mud wallow

It's hot out there!

Photo of the brisket smoker hard at work

This is a New Braunfels smoker. I think its made in Texas. We got it off Craigslist last year. It has a valve for propane but we've never used it. We could use a wood chipper. As of now I break apart the fruit prunings by hand.

Reading under the grape arbor

The smell of the honeysuckle (I think that's what it is) is intoxicating.

Jacy & the baby taking a nap in the greenhouse during a rain

Listening to the soft rain on the greenhouse roof and the thunder rolling through the camas swale valley, reminded me of a Midwest thunderstorm.
Of course, the reality of our boring Oregon rain set in when I realized the thunder was just shotgun shots reverberating around the ridgeline.

Next thing you know, I'll be mistaking nightime cigarette smokers for lightening bugs.

Transferred the garden starts to greenhouse

Two weeks ago we started 6 flats in the house. Most everything is up including the tomatoes.
